Wesley Hall for Students

Students are an important part of the Crookes community. Wesley Hall has for many years provided a home to students looking for an open-evangelical community-focussed church with a fusion of contemporary and traditional worship styles and a warm welcome.

Students also worship at our sister church The Beacon at Broomhill who offer a more traditional Sunday morning service and The Junction, a student centred service, at 7:00pm, often followed by cakes and coffee. Each of our three worshipping communities has a distinctive flavour, so make sure you try them all to find the one for you.

Methodist Chaplain

Rev. Catrin Harland is the Methodist Chaplain to Students at the University of Sheffield. Catrin can be found in Methodist Churches, the Chaplaincy Centre, or – most often – in Coffee Revolution.

“Student life can be exciting and challenging but also at times daunting and a little scary. I’m here to be a listening ear, a source of support, a friend and a mentor throughout your time in Sheffield”.

Contact Catrin at the Chaplaincy Centre or Facebook.

Sheffield Methodist Students

We are a group of students who worship at The Beacon at Broomhill (5 minutes from Endcliffe Student Village), and at Wesley Hall (Crookes). Details of Bible studies, social events and more can be found at the Methodist student Facebook group.
