Fun Drum

Rhythm, drumming and singing fun for pre-schoolers!

Join Ruth for a session packed full of music, song, role play, puppets, dance, percussion and lots of drumming!

Each session starts with the welcome song to provide that all important familiar base to little ones. Then Ruth introduces different stories and activities to the children, everything from frog jumping and rhyming to fairy tale stories told through drums! The sessions are full of rhythm which gets both adults and children moving!

Children get to have a go on the drums themselves too, which is a fantastic opportunity to introduce them to the beautiful drums and rhythms and songs that they can join in with.

Ruth brings a wealth of experience to her sessions having been professionally training and working with drums for over 10 years.

Fun Drum also cater for childrens parties, events and workshops offering a range of games, music workshops, face painting, drumming and disco for ages 1-7 years.

DS Taekwondo

We are a friendly martial arts club based at Wesley Hall Church, Sheffield, teaching the World most popular martial art, TAEKWONDO! We are part of the Worlds biggest and best martial arts organisation, the TAGB, which has over 35'000 members training at over 650 clubs in the UK.

Club owner and Instructor Mr Dave Shillabeer has over 20 years experience in martial arts. He is a qualified umpire, referee and instructor, is CRB checked, first aid trained and fully insured. He has been 7 times national champion, British Champion and is current World Champion.

Taekwondo will improve fitness, teach self control and discipline and empower you with effective self defence skills, whatever your current ability. We take on anyone from the age of 5 upwards, regardless of age, sex, race or ability- Taekwondo is for everyone! Give it a go!

Brownies

Brownies (girls aged 7 to 10) become a member of a Six such as Badger, Fox, Mole, Squirrel, Hedgehog and Rabbit and follow a programme called the Brownie Adventure. The name reflects the world of exciting opportunities, challenges and fun that is Brownies.

Girls can participate in a wide range of activities at their regular meetings, and at special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays. They can find themselves trying out arts and crafts or recipes, playing energetic games, taking part in community action projects, or zooming down zip wires at one of our activity centres.

Girls can also extend their knowledge and abilities by working towards Brownie interest badges covering many different hobbies and activities from Science investigator to Circus skills.

Guides

Girl Guiding Logo

Guides (girls aged 10 - 14) take part in a wide range of exciting activities at their regular meetings, and at special events or holidays. Girls do everything from adventure sports to playing fun games, and from taking part in community action projects to the performing arts. Guides work together in small groups or 'Patrols' and, with the support of an adult Leader, choose and run some of the activities themselves using Go for It! resource packs.

Girls can extend their knowledge and skills by working towards Guide interest badges covering many different hobbies and activities from Film lover to Independent living. They can also gain Challenge badges that recognise their participation in guiding over a period of time. The badges build towards the Baden-Powell Challenge Award, named in honour of the founder of guiding.

An informal youth work session run by Sheffield Futures which aims to build esteem and community relations.

Sheffield City Opera

Sheffield City Opera is dedicated to bringing the magic of opera to audiences. The company performs prestigious concerts throughout the year and stages a full opera in the autumn. We offer a rare opportunity for singers, especially students and graduates, to enjoy and gain experience of an operatic repertoire.

An informal audition is all that’s required to join our friendly company. We would love to welcome you, especially contraltos and male singers. Chorus singing is generally in four part harmony. Though sight reading is an advantage, you will find yourself supported by expert instruction.

Boys' Brigade

The Boys' Brigade has been going for over 125 years, and so we have a proven track record that you can trust. Millions of children and young people have been involved in The Boys' Brigade at some point in their lives!

BB, above all, seeks to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people through the programme of activities that we offer young people. Our programmes are balanced to provide every child and young person opportunities to take part in a wide range of activities, learn new skills and develop existing skills. Above all BB is fun, exciting, and safe.

BB is open to all children and young people aged from 5 to 18 of any faith and background. Ages for joining will vary from group to group, so please check with your local group.
